I am just about to head off to Affiliate Summit East 2009 in New York City, so I won’t have a chance to exercise for about 5 days – it’s a tight schedule without downtime doing these conferences twice a year, so I’ll have to compensate before and after.
But for anybody going to Affiliate Summit who has the running bug, there is going to be a morning run in Central Park led by Peter Shankman.
Runners are meeting at the Columbus Circle entrance to Central Park at 5:30 am on Tuesday, August 11. Later that morning, Peter will be delivering the keynote address at Affiliate Summit.
Peter is the author of one of my favorite business books, “Can We Do That?” and he also runs Help a Report Out (HARO).
Also, I recently came across an online community for runners called StartRunning.com. It’s a great, friendly place for meeting other runners, asking questions, etc.
Last week, I was at the Google Affiliate Network Client Summit at the Google campus in Mountain View, CA
That trip was another case of three days off from exercise, though I could have squeezed it in if I really wanted. We were staying in Palo Alto, across from the Standford campus, and some other folks ran there.
It was a productive event, and they served up fine food and drink at Google – too fine, in fact. And one night I went out for some cajun – tasty gumbo and Jambalaya.

So anyway, it was my worst week in a while – plus two pounds.
This week I am trying to make it up by going out to run all but one day. I’ll miss the update next week, because of Affiliate Summit, but will be back the following week, and expect to report that I’m lower than this week.
Starting weight: 225
Last week: 217
This week: 219
