It’s exciting to see that milestone, since I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to stick with this.

Now, I just need to build up more stamina, lose weight, and run farther and longer.

I posted an interview a couple weeks back I had with a woman who works while using her treadmill, and I’ve been thinking about doing it myself.

I’ve been reading about other folks working on treadmills, and it seems like a great way to optimize time.

But I’ve been apprehensive about investing in a treadmill, since I have a gym membership, and not really any place to put it.

Besides, I figured I could rig a desk on a treadmill, but I’m not particularly handy. So, I was excited to come across SurfShelf.com, which enables you to connect a laptop to a treadmill, elliptical, or stationary bike.

It looks easy to set up and doesn’t cost too much. Maybe I should get one of these things going, even if I’d have to use it in the garage.

I noticed some people wearing a little wristband when I ran a 5k recently, and I asked about it. It turns out it was a product called a RoadID.

The RoadID is a form of ID that allows you to personalize up to 7 lines of laser-engraved text, and there are versions to wear on the wrist, ankle, shoe, etc.

That sounded like a great idea, since I typically just carry a key and a couple dollars when I run. And when I’m pushing myself, it feels like a feather could knock me down.

If something were to happen, I wouldn’t have ID. So, I got the wrist version of the RoadID, and look forward to getting it in the mail.
